SEO and GEO

# Built for modern websites.

Sites have very different needs from apps. Camox is designed to address them.

- **SEO metadata generation** Camox always watches changes to your page content, and generates new title and description tags optimized for Google when needed.
Search result whose title and description Camox regenerates from the whole page when it changes
- **Optimized images, metadata included** All your assets get compressed and served in the most efficient format. And AI writes the file names and alternative text, ensuring good a11y.
Uploaded image that Camox compresses, renames, and gives alt text
- **Open Graph image generation** Make your site stand out when shared on the web. All your pages get an OG image out of the box, using a template you can customize.
Social feed whose link previews show the Open Graph image Camox generates for each page
- **Serve markdown to agents** When an LLM fetches a page on your site, they don't get HTML but markdown, the most token-efficient language. You define the block-to-markdown template, so nothing is lost in translation.
The same page served to a human as a rendered page and to an agent as Markdown

<!-- FAQ -->
- Q: Is Camox free?
A: Currently, yes. We may add some usage limits for the biggest projects in the future, which shouldn't affect most users.
- Q: Is Camox open-source?
A: The entire codebase is public on GitHub, and almost all the project is MIT-licensed. The exception is the API server, which uses the Fair Source License, making each release MIT-licensed two years after its publication.
- Q: Is Camox stable?
A: Currently, no. You should not use it in production yet. Please submit bug reports so we can make Camox more robust.
- Q: Where is the data stored?
A: The content for your pages is hosted by Camox in our hosted API. It uses Cloudflare Workers (plus D1 and R2) to ensure that compute and database reads happen where latency is the lowest.
- Q: Can I self-host Camox?
A: You host your frontend app yourself.
For the API, it's not encouraged, but possible. The source of the API powering the Camox SDK is public on our repo, so you're free to create a fork and deploy it. It's meant to be hosted on the Cloudflare Workers platform.
